My name is Katka and my passions are outdoor such as multi day hikes, camping, skiing and climbing. My journey in customer service started about 5 years ago and since then I demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills. Since 2021 I have been guiding on Icelandic glaciers and this working experience thought me how to significantly improve client satisfaction while maintaining safety protocols. Thanks to my current position as a shift manager for Glacier Adventure I managed to blend leadership and problem-solving abilities. Now I would like to combine my background and achieved skills and am looking for job as a customer service on cell, preferably in the tourism industry.
Primary responsibilities as a glacier guide: ensure safety and enjoyment of our clients while leading them through glacial terrain. Guiding glacier hikes and ice cave trips to Vatnajökull glacier. Leading multiple departures daily, 4 hrs hiking trips, 6 hrs adventure hikes and more challenging ice climbing trips. Taking care of track maintenance duties on the glacier.
Responsibilities as a shift manager: Improving overall team performance by effectively delegating tasks and daily plan. Communication with clients through booking system and on the phone. Training new staff members.

Guiding glacier hikes to Falljökull and Sólheimajökull glacier and as a driver and tour guide to Katla ice cave. Leading multiple departures daily, 3 hrs hiking trips, adventure 5 hrs hike and 4 hrs climbing trip. Taking care of track maintenance on the glacier. Supervising the operational team on daily basis.
